Warkworth Castle Details

Warkworth Castle is a large and impressive motte and bailey refortified in stone. With a justifiably famous cruciform keep, it was one of the Percy families principal castles until forfeited. By the time the Percys returned to favour the castle was in disrepair and was not reoccupied.
