Wardley Hall

Wardley Hall

Wardley Hall Details

Wardley Hall was the site of a manorial centre within a ditch and bank, now damaged by a railway and coal works. It was held by the priors of Durham until the 18th century, and in the 13th century had a hall and possible solar tower. It is unclear how extensive the defences were.
