Wakefield Lowe Hill Details

Wakefield Lowe Hill is a motte with at least two baileys on top of a natural high point within a public park. The motte is surrounded by a ditch and the baileys are in line to the east each forming a terrace. The castle was in use in the 12th century and may have remained so until the mid C14.
