Norham Castle Details

Norham castle is a strong courtyard castle overlooking the River Tweed. Significant ruins remain including that of the keep of the Bishops of Durham. It was often used by the English Crown during the wars with Scotland, up to the Union of the Crowns in 1603, when it fell out of use.
