Llys Edwin is a ditched and banked earthwork that represents a defended high status site used for at least 250 years, containing a stone hall and remains of timber predecessors. The wide ditch was revetted in stone and had a timber palisade in a bank on the outside. The platform had a stone wall around the outside and towers – the description given being consistent with a 15th century moated manor type of castle. The site is in an agricultural field, and permission will be needed to access it.
