Llwynduris Castle Mound

Llwynduris Castle Mount is a rocky knoll overlooking a minor watercourse’ confluence with the Afon Teifi, and isolated from the surrounding lands by a ditch. The site is overgrown by trees which makes it difficult to see from the main road adjacent. The summit of the knoll is large enough to support a building, and there is a depression in the centre of it, but no excavation has been done to establish this. It is about half a mile to Llandygwydd church, so any settlement here was non-nucleated in any case.
