Llanwnnen Castle

Llanwnnen Castle is a D-shaped ringwork that sits on high ground overlooking the Afon Grannell a short distance from the parish church. The castle consisted of an outer ditch and internal embankment around the platform of the castle, and there was a central entrance in the centre of the western (curved) side of the bank. The monument is on private land and cannot be seen from the public roads, so permission will be needed to access it.
