Llanthomas Motte

Llanthomas Motte is a rather eroded ditched motte which sits in private gardens overlooking the Digedi/Dulas Brook, a tributary of the River Wye. There is no evidence of a bailey, although this may have occupied the area between the motte and the watercourse, and a short distance to the SE is the parish church of Llanigon. The motte is adjacent to the public road and clearly visible through the gateway of the house.
