Llanllwni Mount

Llanllwni Mount is a ditched mound which occupies the centre of a prominent outcrop which looks over the River Teifi. Immediately adjacent on the rock is the parish church. Part of the monument has been damaged by an extension of the burial ground, and it seems likely that a ditch protected the entire summit of the rock above the church originally. The mound is heavily overgrown with trees and bracken, and not visible from any public road, but presumably is possible to access from the churchyard.
