Llandyssil Bridge Mound

Llandyssil Bridge Mound is a roundish natural hillock in the middle of an agricultural field. It is crowned by vegetation, and there is a dried out area of parching around the sides and base of the mound. From the public road the profile is reasonably clear, and there are suggestions that a ploughed out ditch is present, but this is not reflected in LIDAR or satellite imagery. The location is odd, as it is in the floodplain and the settlement is fairly well nucleated about 600m south-east. On balance it may just be a burial mound, but a ploughed out medieval site is possible.
