Llandough Castle is a large and complex mansion house with a 14th/15th century tower house contained within the structure. It is privately owned and not visible from the public roads, but the grounds are occasionally opened to the public through the National Gardens Scheme, and are available for hire. The castle is close to the parish church of St Dochdwy, and the settlement as a whole overlooks the confluence of a stream with the Afon Ddawan.
