Lammerside Castle Details

Lammerside Castle was a tower house with a courtyard associated with it; the tower was converted to a gatehouse and the site was remodelled in the 16th century. The tower/gatehouse survives as a major ruin, the rest of the site is turf covered footings and earthworks. It is in a field and not visible from teh road.
