Kendal Castle Details

Kendal Castle is an impressive circular ringwork containing the ruins of stone walls and buildings from the 12th to 14th century. It was abandoned and fell into ruins in the 16th century, and is free to access as a public park. The site is on top of a prominent ridge, and there are also earthwork remnants of the outer bailey to the north.
