Hylton Castle Details

Hylton Tower survives as a roofed gatehouse-tower, the courtyard and other buildings have vanished completely. The gatehouse was remodelled and extended in the 18th century; those extensions have been demolished. The surrounding area is a park, and English Heritage arrange free tours.
