Hen Castell is a square moated enclosure on a slope overlooking Llangattock Park and the River Usk, opposite Crickhowell, interpreted as a moated manor. The feature is immediately adjacent to a public road, but is completely overgrown with trees and cannot be seen. Permission to access the field and site should be obtained as it is used for agriculture. There are supposedly masonry remains on the platform, but whether these are remains of a medieval building or the 18th century shooting lodge remains open to conjecture.
