Glan-Mynys Mount is a natural rocky hill overlooking the Tywi valley and which lies adjacent to the tributary the Afon Mynys. It lies upon private land near a farm, and permission must be gained to access the site. The location is listed as a motte, and a suggestion has been made that a ditch was identified, but there is no further information available, and in truth there is little if any evidence of a castle here, although it may have been occupied as a defensive site at one time. Until recently the site was covered by trees, but these have been felled, making the site visible from the road.
