Felin Isaf Motte

Felin Isaf Motte is a well-preserved ditched motte which once had a bailey to the NW. It now lies between the main railway line and a gated industrial site. The motte is covered by trees, meaning that there is nowhere which it is possible to get a good view of it without permission being granted by the industrial site. Before the  railway and development, the castle had a secluded location overlooking the River Ely, which flows into the Severn Estuary at Cardiff.
