Eden Castle is a ruined tower house overlooking a river confluence south of Banff. It was an L-plan building, with the square wing containing the staircase slightly offset, and dates to the 16th century, when the lands of Eden were held by the Meldrum family. The exact date of construction is unknown, so it may be that the tower was erected by the Leslies, who acquired the estate by marriage.

The castle was extended in the 17th century, and the stump of a part round turret together with one part of the barmkin wall can still be traced. A datestone of 1677 suggests this was the timeframe of the alterations, but the history is pretty scant. In 1712 the castle was sold to the Earl of Fife, who was a notorious acquirer of estates, and as a result the castle was partially demolished, the masonry used to build accommodation more suited to his farming tenants.

The castle is fenced off and considered dangerous, but is clearly visible from the road.
