Dryslwyn castle is a substantial ruined 13th century caste of the princes of Deheubarth on a prominent hill overlooking the Afon Tywi. It is clearly visible from the public roads and is free to access at all times, and maintained by Cadw. The castle consists of a round tower-keep within a complex of courtyards, the outermost of which is most badly ruined and much of this is turf-covered foundations. The slopes below the castle housed a short-lived borough, but there are no surviving parts of this except house platforms.
