Dinham Castle

Dinham castle occupies a small hillock overlooking a small valley which contains a short-lived watercourse vanishing into the land north of Caerwent. The land to the south is now used for training by the MOD, so access is only from the north. The area is wooded, which makes locating the remains tricky, However, what can be found are the footings and rubble spread of a small group of buildings, including a rectangular possible hall, and a possible tower, together with a sub-oval courtyard. Outside may be remains of subsidiary buildings, a small settlement, or even an outer courtyard, but this remains to be investigated fully.
