Cwm Meurig Motte

Cwm Meurig Motte is a small ditched motte overlooking the Afon Meurig in upland Ceredigion. LIDAR imagery suggests the possibility of a modest bailey in association with it, and it has been suggested this may have preceded the larger castle of Ystrad Meurig to the west, but the suggestion is disputed. The motte is surrounded by fields used for agriculture, so permission to access it must be gained prior to attempting it, and it cannot be seen from a public road.
