Crickadarn, or more properly Crug Cadarn, is a low hill in the uplands of the Wye Valley. On the top is a roughly D-shaped ringwork with a ditch and bank. There is a breach in the earthwork to the north which seems to be landslip, and one to the north-east where a long ramp seems to lead from the village to the site. The masonry on site is suggestive of a perimeter wall, but this is far from clear. The location seems to suggest an earlier phase of occupation, although the site may well have remained in use into the medieval period.
