Coity Castle is a large and impressive ringwork and bailey castle refortified in stone. It is managed by Cadw as a tourist attraction and is open to the public for a fee. The ringwork is now provided with a stone perimeter wall, containing the domestic buildings and separated from the bailey area by a ditch and twin-towered gatehouse. The bailey is also defended in stone. It is adjacent to the church of St Mary, and served as the seat of the lordship of Coity into the 18th century.
