Clyn Pattel Mound is a roughly square mound with remnants of a ditch lying in the angle between two small watercourses. To the south are traces of a rectangular enclosure which probably represent an outer courtyard of the site. Oddly, the mound is at 45 degrees to the orientation of the proposed courtyard, therefore being lozenge-shaped in context. Close by is the former St Teilo’s church, now a house, which is suggestive of a planned settlement here. As the land is used for agriculture, permission needs to be obtained to access the site.
