Castle Gwilym is a rather peculiar semicircular earthwork consisting of double banks and ditches on slopes overlooking the Brandy Brook in west Pembrokeshire. The earthworks are covered by trees and lie adjacent to a public road. On the assumption that the earthwork was subcircular originally, the half which does not survive is now occupied by modern buildings, and LIDAR doe not reveal any suggestion of the lost earthworks. Whether this was actually used as a castle at some point is unknown as the only archaeology found here has been early medieval in date.
