Castell Waunllanau

Castell Waunllanau is a well-preserved ditched motte with a pronounced perimeter rampart about the top of the motte. There’s no evidence of a bailey, but there was a ruined church and burial ground immediately to the north, and the site is next to a spring, suggesting a nuclear manor of sorts. The site cannot be seen from any public road, and to reach it several fields need to be crossed, for which permission should be sought.
