Castell Nantcribba is a much damaged circular enclosure on top of a prominent outcrop of rock next to Offa’s Dyke. It may represent a pre-medieval defended settlement reused for a medieval castle. The outer defence is a roughly circular ditch surrounding the outcrop, and on top of the summit are remains of a stone courtyard wall and two possible towers. The site has been mutilated by quarrying and is now covered by trees. It cannot be seen from the public road, and as access is along a private lane, permission should be sought if trying to access.
