Castell Nant Y Garan

Castell Nant y Garan is a ditched motte which seems to have had an external bank as well. There is no sign that there was ever a bailey here, and the mound is now covered with mature trees so cannot be seen clearly. The site is not strong, being on level ground above a tributary of the Teifi, and does not have good views, suggesting a use that was not entirely military. Access would be via a private farm track, so permission should be sought if you wish to see the motte close up.
