Castell Llanddowror

Castell Llanddowror is a roughly oval ditched mound on high ground that is bounded by a dual carriageway to the north and fields used for keeping livestock to the south. There is no public access to the site, but a view can be obtained from the dual carriageway. The site is believed to have served as a ringwork of some description, and when modern features are removed, it is possible to see that it watched over the river confluence and was well suited as a seat of lordship.
