Castell Llainfawr is a roughly quadrangular ditched mound lying in a wet field to the south of the farm of the same name. The site is believed to represent a moated manorial site of the medieval period, the moat supplied with water by a spring. The fields bear the name Parc Castell Issa and Ucha, and the site is categorised as a ringwork in some places and a motte in others – but it is unlikely the site ever had much military strength.
