Castell Glas

Castell Glas is a small rectangular mound which is all that survives of a probable moated manorial site dating to the 14th century or thereabouts. There is evidence of a ditch that survives, but much of the site has now been made unrecognisable by landscaping, including the creation of a modern children’s playpark area, but was probably mostly destroyed during the creation of gardens about the (now demolished) house of the same name. The site is free to access at all times.
