Castell Cwm Aran

Castell Cwm Aran is now largely occupied by a working farm by the same name. As such access would strictly be by the permission of the farmer, although it is possible to gain reasonable views of the bailey earthworks from the public road. There is no evidence that the castle ever consisted of masonry, and it is unclear whether earthworks adjacent are of a second bailey or evidence of siegeworks. The motte and the bailey are both rectangular in shape and next to each other rather than the motte being cut into the bailey area.
