Castell Bach Llanwinio

Castell Bach Llanwinio is a ditched motte overlooking a steep sided gully which contains the Afon Sien, a tributary of the Cynin. On the opposing bank is the defended promontory castle of Castell Mawr. It is part way up the slope, which is unusual, and is heavily overgrown with vegetation. It annot be seen from public roads, and in order to access the site agricultural fields need to be crossed, so permission to access should be gained from the landowner.
