Carn Fadrun is the name of a prominent hill on the Llyn peninsular, which is crowned with the remnants of an Iron Age fort and what has been interpreted as a twelfth century castle of the Welsh princes. Drystone walling is largely spread over the summit, and to be honest if I hadn’t known it was there, I would not have identified the “citadel” that has been mentioned. (It is lozenge shaped and occupies the highest part of the hilltop). But the views are very impressive from the top!
