Cae Castell Llechart is a small rectangular earthwork built at the edge of a small ravine to the east. It is used for livestock farming so permission should be gained if you wish to visit. It consists of an irregular mound with a lower area to the south – parts of a bank around the lower area survive, and there is a ditch around the whole site. It is reminiscent of a motte with bailey, but on a smaller scale and not well executed if so. Other features showing in LIDAR imagery are suggestive of a small settlement of sorts.
