Boyne Palace is a ruined 16th century castle designed in archaic style by the Ogilvie family. It is on private land and accessible under the Scottish Outdoor Access code, but access is over a field used for livestock and there is no parking.

The castle is a quadrangular courtyard with a double towered gatehouse set on a promontory above the Burn of Boyne, and is rapidly declining into a dangerous condition despite early 20th century strapping. The courtyard had ranges of buildings on each side and formal gardens, the most significant remains of these being the hall block on the western side, and the causewayed bridge to the gatehouse. The Ogilvies of Boyne clearly overstretched themselves to build this palace, and their estate was sold to the Earl of Findlater in 1709, after which the house was allowed to fall into ruin.
