Bishops Moat

Bishops Moat is a motte and bailey castle situated within a working farmyard and therefore permission should be sought if trying to access. It can be made out from parts of the public road through hedges. The motte is ditched, and parts of the kidney shaped bailey bank survive. It is right on the Wales/England border, and is believed to have been founded by the Bishop of Hereford.
