Adpar Motte

Adpar Motte is a flat-topped mound now entirely enclosed by private gardens and inaccessible to the public. Shown as a mound on the earliest Ordnance Survey, it is opposite the bridge over the Teifi and may have been associated with a toll system. No trace of a ditch survives or a bailey, and whilst it may be the predecessor to Newcastle Emlyn Castle, it is in a different commote, making a transfer of site less likely.
